The note was made by the Bank of Canada (Boc) and inscribed in both English and French with the signatures of the Deputy Governor and Governor.

The front of the note has a hazy brownish hue from the 1980's, with the main fixture being Queen Elizabeth II on the right. Next to the queen is Canada's Parliamentary buildings with intricate patterns around it. The middle of the note consists of the Canadian Coat of Arms and if you look closely you will see a few security features such as: the number two repeated on the middle of the note and Canada inscribed in the rectangle where the Parliamentary buildings are.

The reverse side of the note consists of a portrait with words Canada behind it. The portrait is of two beautiful robins posing in the rolling hills of Canada.
